Don’t Fall Into A Dinner Party - DirecTV

A Poet’s Prayer by Steph The Poet

I write this poem with no direction
But in my palms I bleed the belief
That God is with me
His blood
Sits in the glass of my left hand
I swallow to fill the hollow walls of my transgressions
Praying for forgiveness
Asking for permission
To eat the bread
That rest next to my composition pad
Hoping His words give life to my right hand
As I write,
Over He stands
I’m trying to right
The errors of my life with His understanding
So please guide me
I’m trying to become a better writer.

I have outlined a number of differences among the slaves, and I take these differences and make them bigger. I use fear, distrust, and envy for control purposes.

OMG

OMG

By Steph The Poet

I’ll put down my guards but I have to keep up my God

Because OMG you’re about as fine as eyes can see

The Apple of my eye but I’m not Mac-ing or distracted by

Your lack of wholeness

You’re a perfect imperfection

A top model that walks with grace

With a face that face any wobble along the catwalk of life

You look great with no makeup on.

Your genetic makeup alone is a turn on.

I just want to compliment you

Not with words

But if you listen close enough,

You will hear how honored I am to be standing next to you

Let me accompany you

I hope this journey you’re on requires two

I know you don’t need me

But I was more interested in your wants

Don’t deceive me with your don’ts

Please me with your dos

Not talking premature marriage

More concerned with the premature status of me and you

Let’s take walks in the park of IDKs

Learn each others ways

Each day is a page turner

Do a little time traveling

Ramble about the past, but don’t dwell too long

Back to the future

I mean back to the present, but I see you in my future

Just thinking ahead

Feeling the body of this conversation

We embody two lost souls trying to find one body

To hold all this passion that is present

The essence of love making

Wet the sheets of my imagination

So lay your body down and tell me what’s on your mind

Maybe we will find the essence of love making

And in time find that moment.

Where time is irrelevant

Because time stands still like you and I

This time

This moment

All that matters

Is we stand

Still

After we fall

Random poetry exercise #7

Hold light on your tongue

Speak your light

Guide those kidnapped by darkness

Seek your light

Enlighten the frightened

Become the light

Shine so they can see your light

More money

And I still won’t marry her

Or carry her throughout my days

Just because my status changed

My status remains:

faithful and praying

Longing for something money can’t buy

My soul where money will try

My goal where money will buy

Materials my soul listed

Not materialistic

But fold my passion in the form of an air plane

And watch my words fly

Because I was born to fly

My goal where money will buy

My soul where money will try

But I will not marry corporate america

God gave me wings

So I owe it to him

My soul

The wind whispered in my ear. The end of time near. I spoke back I fear not. But my bags are packed. If it ever gets too heavy. Then it’s room in the back of the Chevy. I extract what I can’t carry. So whisper back when that time ends
